President Donald Trump has announced that he will be signing an executive order to temporarily suspend immigration into the United States.
The president is crediting the “invisible enemy,” aka coronavirus, as his reason for suspending immigration during this time.
“In light of the attack from the Invisible Enemy, as well as the need to protect the jobs of our GREAT American Citizens, I will be signing an Executive Order to temporarily suspend immigration into the United States!” he wrote on Twitter.
Trump previously put a 30-day travel ban between the U.S. and several countries like China, Canada, Mexico, Iran, South Korea, and most of Europe.
