Paul Mescal‘s performance as Connell Waldron in Hulu’s Normal People is making waves (as he’s being dubbed the Internet’s new boyfriend!)
Now, he’s speaking out about deciding to go full frontal in the Hulu show. You can see Paul‘s full body in the fifth episode and final episode of the season.
“I’m not concerned about it because I made a choice that this project is something that I’m proud of,” Paul, 24, said to Mr Porter, adding “well, on paper, that makes sense.”
He then added, “The closer I’m getting to people seeing me fully nude on screen – it does make me slightly nervous.”
He also spoke about the numerous sex scenes with his co-star Daisy Edgar-Jones, who plays Marianne.
The pair worked with intimacy coordinator, Ita O’Brien, to help choreograph the sex scenes.
“We would discuss the scene and then Ita would block what we had discussed, so it wasn’t mine or Daisy’s responsibility to decide what was appropriate… You’re told what to do. It’s freeing!” he added.
