LeBron James received a huge honor during the 2020 Kids’ Choice Awards: Celebrate Together!
The 35-year-old athlete was honored with 2020 Generation Change Award on Saturday night (May 2). He also won Favorite Male Sports Star.
The awards show this year was held virtually due to the ongoing health pandemic, and benefited the No Kid Hungry charity.
“To win this award, it’s an honor to be awarded the Generation Change Award,” LeBron said via video chat from his home. “It means a lot to myself, to my family, fans, and also to my kids at my school back in Akron, Ohio. Thank you guys so much. Like I said, it’s not about me, it’s about you guys as well. I hope everyone is staying safe during these difficult times. It’s an amazing time we’re spending a lot of time with our families. There’s nothing better than being with your family during difficult times. Stay well, stay blessed, stay safe and stay healthy. We’ll get back to what we know as normal real soon.”
