Kate Hudson and Jimmy Fallon worked together on the 2000 movie Almost Famous and he revealed about a year ago that he had a crush on her at the time.
Now, they’re opening up their friendship during an interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
“There were relationships that came out of [the movie], which by the way we need to discuss,” Kate said while talking about Almost Famous with Jimmy. “We have things to discuss.”
“Can I just tell you what happened to me as I was listening to this?” Kate said in response to the clip of Jimmy revealing his crush on her. “I was like, Jimmy… I had no idea like there was no… like I wish people could have been in our body to watch you and I’s relationship and friendship because… you gave me no indication.”
“Well, I gave a little indication, I thought we were good together,” Jimmy replied.
“Jimmy, if you would have actually made a move, I would have totally gone there,” Kate said in response. “I remember thinking to myself, why has Jimmy never made a move? And then I just kind of realized, ‘Oh, he’s not into me like that.’ And so, then I met Chris [Robinson].”
In the end, they both said that things worked out the way they were supposed to!
