Fans Step Up For Georgie After Watching ‘Young Sheldon’s Shocking Ending

Fans did not like the ending of tonight’s episode of Young Sheldon one bit!

During the episode tonight (SPOILERS HERE!), Dale (Craig T. Nelson) decides to leave Georgie (Montana Jordan) in charge of the athletic store he owns while taking a weekend off, and spending some time with Connie (Annie Potts).

While he’s running the store, Georgie gets distracted selling items to customers and forgot to close the cash register drawer after his last sale. That results in about $400 being stolen right from under him, and he panics.

Meanwhile, Dale and Connie’s romantic getaway turns very sour after he suggest they head to New Orleans to get married and she’s not up for it at all.

After returning to the store, Georgie comes clean about the stolen money, and gives up his own – the money he was saving for his own car – to Dale.

Georgie asks Dale if they are “good,” but Dale then succinctly tells him that he’s fired, and that was the ending moment.

Fans on social medial didn’t handle the cold close to the episode well, siding with Georgie in the situation.

“#YoungSheldon why’d you have to do Georgie dirty like that?!😭 Yeah he messed up but he gave Dale all the money he had lost. If Dale really did that just because Meemaw wasn’t ready to get married then he isn’t worth s***. #YoungSheldon,” one fan wrote.

Another added, “Was that really the season finale??? That makes it even sadder. Poor Georgie. I’m going to miss you guys.”
