Chris Hemsworth‘s new movie Extraction is on track to becoming the most watched Netflix original movie ever and now a sequel has been confirmed!
Avengers: Endgame co-director Joe Russo wrote the screenplay for the first Extraction movie and he confirmed to Deadline that he’s writing the sequel too.
“The deal is closed for me to write Extraction 2, and we are in the formative stages of what the story can be,” Russo said. “We’re not committing yet to whether that story goes forward, or backward in time. We left a big loose ending that leaves question marks for the audience.”
It’s hoped that Sam Hargrave will return as director and that Chris will return to reprise his role as mercenary Tyler Rake.
No deal is in place for Chris to return for a sequel and Joe says that he’ll show him the script before a deal is worked out.
