Broadway actress Jessica Vosk has filed a police report against former Bravo star Arzo Anwar after allegedly being attacked by her in New York City.
Jessica, who is well known for playing Elphaba in Wicked, says that she was out walking her dog Fred on Tuesday (May 5) when a woman, who wasn’t wearing a mask, tried running past them and got too close for comfort.
Jessica told the woman to put on a mask and she says the woman retaliated by hitting her in the face. At this point, she started filming a video and she tweeted (and later deleted) the clip of the encounter. Fans figured out that the person in the video is Arzo, who is a celebrity stylist and known for starring on Bravo’s Blood Sweat and Heels.
“What you see is a video of someone who just hit me because I told her to wear a mask if she decides not to appropriately social distance in a densely populated city area. Nothing—and I mean NOTHING—condones hitting another person. Period,” Jessica tweeted to a fan.
Jessica says that she didn’t put up the video on Twitter to play the role of a victim. She decided to tweet the video to help her identify the woman, something the police suggested she do.
On Wednesday, Jessica updated fans to say that she had filed the police report.
“Thanks everyone! Was able to go file a report today. ONWARD!” Jessica said. In response to someone who reference Arzo in a tweet, she replied, “It was indeed that person, and I am glad I was able to handle it.”
Thanks everyone! Was able to go file a report today. ONWARD!

And while I did choose to go into a more “public” career…this type of behavior is the kind I am taking to the police department here. I see your point, but please know that I feared for myself and protected myself. https://t.co/iiVCYlVx1F

Lol. I don’t look for fights, my friend. I also hope it never happens again. It was a really scary moment. We may handle and see things differently. But I do hope you are safe no matter what. Xo.

If you’re coming close than 6 feet, yes. Yes I can tell her to wear a mask.

If I get hit, you bet I’m recording it for authorities. And that’s where I live.

I respect your opinion and thank you for sharing it! The reason I did not get physical is for that reason alone. I do not believe in physical violence EVER. And would never want anyone to be hurt. ❤️

Notice she said she’d hit me AGAIN. That means she hit me once. I can help with the math.

You’ve missed the point. I was not close. She was not social distancing. And when I asked her to, she retaliated by hitting me. There is nothing ok about that. And nobody should ever use physical voilence. EVER.

Nope. What you see is a video of someone who just hit me because I told her to wear a mask if she decides not to appropriately social distance in a densely populated city area. Nothing—and I mean NOTHING—condones hitting another person. Period.

Hi Andrew, honey. To make it clearer for you to understand, I will spell it out in grade school format. I picked my camera up and filmed the assaulter AFTER she hit me. And my walk home happened to be on the same route. You lemme know if you need it 1st grade level next time.

I told her not to come near me or my dog. I told her to wear a mask. Several times. I filmed after she decided it would be ok to hit me over it. Physical violence has no excuse. Call me every name in the book. I’ll walk away. Hit me? No chance.

By the way, masks are mandated here. Don’t want to wear one? Ok. Then you make sure you keep 8-12 feet away.
