Britney Spears‘ fans surprised her this week by sending her 2016 album Glory to number one on the iTunes charts… so she surprised them in return with new artwork!
Fans were not happy about the artwork that was chosen for the album back in the day and now Britney is fixing that by updating the album cover.
“You asked for a new Glory cover and since it went to number one we had to make it happen !!!! Couldn’t have done it without you all 💞😘🌹✨!!!!” Britney wrote on Instagram with the new artwork.
The photo was shot in the desert by famed photographer David LaChapelle and it has been said that the shoot was scrapped as it was deemed too racy.
A source explained to Variety that when the switch happened on Friday (May 8), Britney “just kinda did it on her own.”
You can see the original artwork above and the new artwork below. If you want to support Britney and help send the album back up the charts, buy it now on iTunes!
