Britney Spears has been under a conservatorship since 2008 and a judge has just ordered that her current temporary conservatorship be extended.
Jodi Montgomery, who has worked as Britney‘s care manager for years, took over as the temporary conservator after the singer’s dad Jamie stepped down from the role because of “personal health reasons.”
Jodi has been serving as the conservator since September and a judge ordered last month that the temporary conservatorship will be extended through August 22. This extension happened because courthouses are closed amid the ongoing health crisis, according to People.
As Britney‘s conservator, Jodi has the power to communicate with medical personnel and she has access to any and all medical records for Britney. She also has access to psychiatric records.
