Amy Schumer is giving back amid the coronavirus pandemic and has donated 2,500 masks to the Mount Sinai South Nassau in Oceanside, New York.
The hospital is close to home for the 38-year-old actress, as it’s where her best friend Jen Cloudman works and is currently caring for COVID-19 patients.
Amy teamed up with Bethenny Frankel‘s foundation BStrong to make the donation and Jen talked with People about the donation.
“We’ve been friends for probably almost 30 years now, since we were 11 years old. We talk all the time,” she shared. “So we have a group chat where we just kind of support each other, especially in this time, and it was there that she reached out and said like, ‘We’re going to do this, I can do this, I can help.’”
Amy‘s donation included the 2,500 N95 surgical masks and 2,500 “corona kits” with sanitizer and prevention essentials.
