The busiest shopping day of the year is finally here. Black Friday, taking place November 27, is an informal name for the day following Thanksgiving and has been regarded as the beginning of the United States Christmas shopping season since 1952. The term “Black Friday” did not become widely used until more recent decades, during which time global retailers have adopted the term and date to market their own holiday sales. The day represents the point in the year when retailers begin to turn a profit, thus going from being “in the red” to being “in the black.”
With the ongoing global coronavirus pandemic, Black Friday will look a little different this year. Stores will be at fraction of capacity, and many retailers are moving their biggest sales online. But that certainly isn’t stopping shoppers from spending their hard-earned dough.
Now, more than ever, celebs have retail side hustles, so expect to see some A-list names behind some of Black Friday’s biggest sales. From Kylie Cosmetic productions to Katy Perry‘s shoe collection, check out 15 items from your favorite stars to shop this Friday.
