Avril Lavigne is doing her part to help out during the global health crisis.
The 35-year-old singer re-recorded and re-named her 2019 song “Warriors” into “We Are Warriors” with proceeds going to help out with pandemic relief efforts.
“I felt the need to do something to honor all of the frontline workers who risk their lives every day to keep us safe. From the doctors, nurses, police, fire fighters, grocery workers, delivery services, all essential workers and the brave volunteers,” Avril said in a statement. “I am humbled with gratitude and want to dedicate my new song ‘We Are Warriors’ to everyone putting their lives at risk to keep us safe.”
All net profits from “We Are Warriors” will be going to Project Hope’s relief efforts.
“You guys are the ones that are holding the world up right now and we’re all counting on you and relying on you,” Avril continued. “You are Warriors! We all need each other more than ever right now. Now is the time to fight and to stick together. Be kind, be safe, be a Warrior and support our mission at CharityStars.com/Warrior.”
