There’s some good news to share in Broadway actor Nick Cordero‘s fight against coronavirus.
The 41-year-old actor has been in a medically induced coma for weeks after being admitted to the hospital with pneumonia. It took three COVID-19 tests for him to finally test positive a few weeks ago, but now the virus seems to be out of his system.
Nick‘s wife Amanda Kloots took to Instagram Stories on Friday (April 24) to share that he tested negative twice.
“Good news, dada had two negative COVID tests! Yay!” Amanda said in a video she filmed with their young son Elvis. “Which means we think the virus is out of his system and now we’re just dealing with recovery and getting his body back from all the repercussions of the virus.”
“But COVID is two negative tests, which means hopefully the virus is out of Nick. Thank God!” she added.
Earlier in the week, Nick had to have his leg amputated due to a blood clot issue. Doctors are still not sure when he will wake up from his coma, though they had hoped he would be awake by now.
