Mark Ruffalo is on the cover of Variety‘s new issue.
Here’s what the 52-year-old actor had to share with the mag…
On the possibility of a Hulk stand-alone movie: “There’s an idea that I think could be really interesting. We’ve never really followed him into his life. He’s always kind of off on the side. He’s like the Rosencrantz and Guildenstern of the Avengers. It’d be interesting to fill in all the blanks about what happened to him in between all these movies.”
On the disproportionate impact of coronavirus on blue-collar Americans: “I shudder to think the depth of suffering that’s going to come with this, economically speaking. Even in New York City so many people are living hand to mouth, paycheck to paycheck.”
On how spending time in nature as a child informed his environmental activism: “Growing up, it was such an important part of finding myself. It was the place I felt I belonged. It was the place I was moved by. Those things have pushed me to activism.”
